Origins of the Marianist Family: Notes on Marianist History
by Eduardo Benlloch, SM
364 pp.
It reads like a Hollywood thriller--and in fact it includes a DVD, called Where We Were Born--yet it is the essence of our Marianist history, the true story of our origins, filled with moments of joy, betrayal, and uncertainty. And, it clearly depicts the greatness of our Founder, Blessed William Joseph Chaminade. What is it?
Letters of Father Chaminade (Volume 9)

This new work includes a chronology and summary table of the 28 letters in this volume, as well as an index with proper names. Volume 9 also includes corrections made by Father Joseph Verrier, SM, in 1987 to the original French edition, as well as new acquisitions received since.
Chaminade, Pragmatist with a Vision
by Joseph Stefanelli, SM
33 pp.
In this short biography, Father Stefanelli highlights key moments in the life of William Joseph Chaminade. The reader enjoys glimpses along his faith-filled (and at times rocky) path as the Marianist Founder traveled from his life as a young child in Mussidan, France; his exile in Saragossa, Spain; to his beatification 150 years after his death. Chaminade’s inspired mission to rechristianize France is as viable today as it was at his first Sodality meeting on December 8th, 1800.
