Who's Who at NACMS
Joanne Beirise: Copyeditor
Joanne reviews almost all of the NACMS Publications before they go to print or are posted on our web site. Her years at UD’s Religious Studies Department equipped her to know context and specialized vocabulary—vital assets for a copyeditor.
Bro. Lawrence Cada: Coordinator of Research
Bro. Larry is often called upon to find or verify information related to Marianist Studies. His current activity includes co-teaching the Marianist History Course, expanding the Basic Handbook of Marianist Studies, and editing a new edition of Fr. Simler’s biography of William Joseph Chaminade.
Danielle Weidner: Intern
In the first year of the internship, Danielle will read many of the core texts in Marianist Studies and assist staff with programs and publications. During these months she will engage in experiences in all facets of NACMS work. As the resident expert in Gmail, she instructs and counsels the staff on its use and applications.
Patti Gehred: Coordinator of Virtual Learning & Curriculum Innovation
To oversee our virtual learning initiatives, Patti works closely with UD’s VLCFF program for online learning and the facilitators for the Marianist track. She develops courses and manages the schedules along with facilitating courses herself. Additionally, Patti prepares and presents programs, teaches staff how to use social networks for research and promotion, and serves as Managing Editor of the Basic Handbook of Marianist Studies.
Dan Jordan: Coordinator of Publications and Marketing
Dan is the managing editor for our web site and chief editor for print publications intended for wide audiences. He issues regular newsletters and promotes all NACMS programs and publications, working closely with our distribution staff to improve sales. He coordinates our activity with our web page designer and webmaster of the SM Province web site. He is the liaison to those who manage our server and Virtual Private Network (VPN) and facilitates VLC courses.
Dorothy Keyes: Bookkeeper/Library Technician
Most of the year, we find Dorothy in the library, cataloging texts and helping with the library’s organization. For several days each quarter, she maintains data on our accounting software and prepares Financial Statements for our Sponsors and Advisors. She also oversees our Book Depository, maintaining an inventory of the texts and reorganizing shelves as new books arrive.
Pati Krasensky: Assistant Director
Located at The Marianist Center in Philadelphia, PA, Pati provides programs and retreats, serves as our in-house accountant, and works closely with the Director on policy reviews, sustaining current activities, and setting direction for the future. She splits her time among the NACMS responsibilities and serving as Director of the Marianist Lay Formation Initiative as well as managing the office at the Center. Pati also facilitates VLC courses.
Laura Libertore: Administrative Assistant
Laura works with the Director on administrative projects and serves the staff by preparing meeting minutes, payroll data, monthly calendars, and bills to ministries for use of our Business Center. She researches solutions to technology issues, partners with the Resource Coordinator to provide reception and distribution services, and assists, as needed, with text preparation for publications—both electronic and print formats.
Carolyn Perez: Editor
Carolyn is responsible for editing scholarly texts and oversees the publication process for these materials. She is currently working on an electronic format of the Letters of Father Chaminade which will appear soon on a state-of-the art search engine. She is also preparing volumes 6 and 7 of The Chaminade Legacy for print. She has developed three courses for the VLC and often facilitates these courses.
Carol Ramey: Director
Carol ensures that the complex of efforts around research, programs, publications, library development, resourcing, and links to the world-wide Marianist family are funded and operating well. She conducts some programs and oversees the NACMS Working Groups designed to promote quality and innovation in the areas listed above. Occasionally, she facilitates VLC courses.
Janine Scott: Resource Coordinator
Janine is responsible for distribution of our resources, processing orders for NACMS publications, both electronic and hard copy formats, and managing the databases related to this work. She also is our Office Manager. Her tasks include reception, ordering supplies, supervision of custodial needs, minute taking, database management, and record keeping. Janine makes sure that NACMS is a welcoming and attractive environment for staff and visitors alike.
Teresa Trimboli: Head Librarian
Teresa directs acquisitions and cataloging, along with library organization. On a day-to-day basis, those responsibilities are often in competition for her attention as she also serves as a reference librarian, answering questions on a wide range of topics from staff and those NACMS serves. She assists those doing research in our library. She oversees our technology, working with computer firms around new purchases and maintenance.
Marie Wyman: Administrative Assistant
Also located in Philadelphia, PA, at The Marianist Center, Marie provides administrative support to the Assistant Director through a variety of secretarial, record keeping, and reporting tasks.
