" Heroic Hearts" (an
excerpt)Click on Image to Order Some people have a knack for seeing God's active presence in all aspects of life. This gift, called grace, sometimes becomes dramatically real through a radical, life-changing conversion experience. The time, date, and place are indelibly etched in the mind and the heart. God's grace comes to others in gentle, subtle ways. Grace slowly seeps into their lives, covering them with an increasing awareness of God's love and thousandfold goodness in their everyday lives and personal relationships. This consciousness, in turn, gradually brings the power and significance of God into sharper focus. Adèle once said, "The web of our lives, dear friend, is woven with graces." She believed everyone could be abundantly aware of God's loving presence, but that we would take it in "only to the extent that our hearts are able to receive it." *Sample Question: Has God's grace become apparent in your life through a dramatic conversion experience, in gradual, subtle ways, or by some other means altogether?
