![]() NACMS has been presenting programs for groups all across the United States since 1983. Some programs have been designed especially for a specific group or a unique circumstance confronting a community. However, some of our programs have a universal application. We have been able to replicate presentations for groups in diverse settings. Whenever possible, we try to "package" the program in such a way that Marianist groups can conduct the program themselves, if bringing in outside resource people or scheduling present difficulties.
"Setting the Marianist
Table" Picnic and Ponder In Dayton, we picked a central location with both outdoor and inside facilities (in case of bad weather), asked people to bring their own picnic dinner, provided a babysitter for families with young children, and hoped someone would show up. They did about twenty-five people for each session!
We asked local people who had a Marianist background (not necessarily "experts" but someone we thought people would trust had good things to say) to prepare 10-15 minutes of remarks on the topic. NACMS provided the discussion guides and handouts for later reference. This would be an easy program to do on your own. NACMS will be more than happy to provide you with summaries of the remarks, discussion questions, and a set of handouts for you to duplicate. (We can even send you the original signs we used to point out the direction of the gathering.) Just contact us for details!
