Speakers Bureau

  • Having a day of retreat for your community?
  • Want some fresh perspective on a Marianist topic?
  • Wondering how to explain 200 years of history in an evening’s program?
  • Looking for "tie-in"s to the church’s position on social justice, and how Marianists have addressed that issue?

All these, and more, have formed the basis for presentations, retreats, or workshops by speakers available through NACMS. We have worked with audiences numbering from 5 to 250.

The NACMS staff are available for an evening, an afternoon, a weekend, or a week to share the richness of our Marianist heritage and contemporary expressions of Marianist spirit. In addition, members of the NACMS Conversation Group may be available to come to speak to your community or group.

To be equally accessible to the various geographic regions, NACMS has a policy of paying travel costs. A reasonable stipend is charged for the speakers’ services. Overseas travel is an exception to this policy. NACMS can make special arrangements if expense is a problem.

Speakers include:

Carol Ramey
Ray McCracken
Pati Krasensky
Dan Jordan
Patti Gehred

A list of Conversation Group members is available through the NACMS office.

NACMS speakers also can team up with local people to facilitate programs or retreats. In the past, NACMS staff have worked with members of the Society of Mary or Marianist Sisters, with lay community leaders, with parish groups, etc. to incorporate Marianist themes into a program or to create special events designed to introduce or deepen understanding of Marianist spirit.

We can work with an agenda you present. We can help you design something if you are unsure what is appropriate for your group or audience. In fact, we don’t even have to provide the speakers—we can help you plan a program and explore local resource people who might be able to work with you.
