Daniel Jordan

05/16/2008

With a background in pastoral ministry and journalism, Dan Jordan has found a home for both passions at NACMS. He serves on the NACMS editorial team and helps provide good homes for its publications through his marketing efforts.

Like many Catholics, Dan discerned religious life in his youth and had given serious contemplation to becoming a Marianist brother. Opting for a vocation as a lay Marianist, Dan is proud to serve the comprehensive Marianist Family--a family whose members have loved and supported him over the years. Dan's background in Marianist life includes involvement in the University of Dayton Sodality, the Marianist Volunteers, the Miryam Community, and The Well Community in Dayton.

During his five years as a campus minister at the University of Dayton, he journeyed with sophomore students as they experienced the joys and pitfalls of college life. Prior to his work in ministry, Dan was a reporter for a newspaper in the Greater Cleveland area.

A lover of professional baseball (especially the Cleveland Indians) and contemporary music, Dan blends his enthusiasm for popular culture with a reverence for history. His historical interests include the French Revolution, colonial America, the life of Blessed Jakob Gapp, SM, and the origins of the American political system.

Dan's involvement at NACMS includes working on the Things Marianist series and Marianist Soundings.

He lives in Dayton with his wife Bridget.
