“Let us invest in education…. Let us cultivate relationships! … Let us love justice and peace!” These words from Pope Leo XIV are the guiding principles for NACMS’ upcoming discussion of his encyclical, Magnifica Humanitas, which underlines the importance of the human person in the age of Artificial Intelligence. We will explore the resources Marianist life brings to this conversation.
On Thursday, December 10, 2026, Sr. Laura Leming, FMI, NACMS program assistant, will facilitate a discussion on how the Marianist Family is building the world for the common good. This session will take place on Zoom from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. EST (6:00 p.m. CST / 5:00 p.m. MST / 4:00 p.m. PST / 2:00 p.m. HST) and is open to all for a low cost of $10 per participant. Please register on our website by Tuesday, December 8.
The full text of Magnifica Humanitas is available on the Vatican’s website. An audio-book/ podcast option is available on the Vatican News website and in podcasting apps.
Participants are encouraged to read Articles 243–245 (or 229–245 for a deeper look) prior to the session.
