These headings are based on the Library of Congress’s Subject Headings (LCSH) and, in several instances, replicate LCSH and its governing rules. These subject headings were compiled in 2008 by Teresa Trimboli, NACMS Librarian, and Shirley Martyn, Cataloging Librarian at St. Mary's University of San Antonio.
However, to create a single resource for catalogers of Marianist materials, all headings deemed pertinent to the Society of Mary, the Daughters of Mary Immaculate and all groups of the Marianist Family were included in this list.
