Podcast: Beatification Memories (Interviews Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Chaminade's Beatification)

On September 3rd, 2000, Father Chaminade was Beatified along with five other holy people during a Mass in St. Peter's Square. Pope St. John Paul II was the presider, and he noted that Blessed Chaminade was an "apostle of the laity." In this podcast, we interviewed six different people who were at the Beatification and the events surrounding it. Each of them provides their own perspective on that experience, as well as the legacy of Chaminade officially being named "Blessed."

Podcast: Brother and Sister in the Marianist Family (Fr. Dave Fleming, SM and Marceta Reilly)

Marceta Reilly and Father Dave Fleming, S.M. are very active members of the Marianist Family. They are also siblings. Fr. Dave left home to join the Society of Mary when Marceta was eight years old, and although Marceta came to know the Marianists through her older brother, she made the charism her own by forming lay communities in the rural Kansas town where she lives. She has also been an active member of Our Lady of the Round Table, which is an international online lay Marianist community. In this podcast, they interview each other about some of their experiences in the Marianist Family and their insights into the charism.

Podcast: Embracing Marianist Life and Service (Maureen O'Rourke)

Lay Marianist Maureen O'Rourke reflects on how she embraced her Marianist identity and call to serve her neighborhood. She talks about the Marianist PULSE volunteer program that she directs, how the Marianist Family has become part of her marriage, and she shares about the various Marianists who have played an important role in her life.

Bro. Bob Moriarty, SM has been professed with the Society of Mary for over sixty years. In this episode of Sharing Our Marianist Stories, Bro. Bob shares about his journey with the Society of Mary, experience within parish ministry, vision for the Marianist Family in parishes, and The Best of Quest, a resource he developed that NACMS has published.

This special episode is a joint production between NACMS and the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative (MSJC) who is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. This podcast is a recording of a Zoom conversation that took place between MSJC Director Sarah Gray and three people who were present at MSJC's foundation: Sr. Leanne Jablonski, FMI; Jim Vogt; and Fr. Ted Cassidy, SM. These three Marianists reflect on the origins of MSJC, its accomplishments over the years, and how it has been a model of collaboration in the Marianist Family.
