Rose Rucoba, FMI, shares her Marian insight into the parallels between Mary and Elizabeth’s Visitation and a similar supportive experience between two Thérèses (Marie Thérèse de Lamourous and Thérèse Rondeau, two women who ran houses for repentant sex workers in nineteenth-century France). Both experiences—Mary and Elizabeth’s interactions, as well as the two Thérèses—draw upon the power of love and sisterhood in times of need.
This publication was a culmination of a two-week independent study that Sr. Rose completed in the summer of 2025.
