On October 16, 2026 George Lisjak, Jessica González Uhlig, and Sr. Laura Leming, FMI, represented NACMS at the Imagining Community Symposium—a regional gathering cosponsored by the University of Dayton and Sinclair Community College.

Their session, “Leading for Belonging: Cultivating Brave Spaces Through Marianist Leadership Stances,” offered nonprofit leaders practical strategies for fostering inclusive communities. Grounded in George’s book, Stances of Marianist Leadership: The essential really is the interior, the presentation highlighted three interior stances that help nonprofit leaders navigate modern organizational challenges and lead with purpose.
