She grew up knowing members of the Marianist Family but didn't fully know what it meant to be Marianist until she attended the University of Dayton. Now she helps with the formation of Marianist Educational Associates at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. Listen to this episode to hear Jessica share some reflections about what the Marianist Family has meant to her in her personal, professional, and spiritual life. Podcast: Following Mary's Yes in the Inner City (Mike and Beth Schulz)

Lay Marianists Mike and Beth Schulz share their story about graduating from the University of Dayton and founding the Nassau Lay Marianist Community on the urban East side of Dayton. The Nassau Community was inspired by the Marianist charism and the Catholic Worker Movement as a living community that would build relationships with the urban poor. This community would eventually start Mission of Mary Cooperative, which is a non-profit urban farm in East Dayton that also provides fresh food to low-income families. According to Mike and Beth, this entire project drew its inspiration from Mary's "Yes."

Podcast: Once a Missionary, Always a Missionary (Sr. Columba Yu, FMI)

Sister Columba is a Marianist Sister from South Korea who has spent the last 13 years of her life as a missionary in India. She was among the original 4 Marianist Sisters who went to India in 2006 to begin a community of Marianist Sisters there. The Sisters live in Ranchi in the northern part of India where they do a variety of ministries including healthcare work and job training for women. Sr. Gabby interviewed Sr. Columba in December while she was visiting the United States. In this podcast, Sr. Columba shares her story of being a missionary, becoming a Marianist Sister, and what her reaction was when she was first asked by the Sisters to go to India 13 years ago.

In this episode, Patti Gehred and Gabby Bibeau discuss an interview Gabby did with Rob Brodrick, who is a lay Marianist and the newly hired National Director of the Marianist Lay Community of North America (MLC-NA). Rob talks about his experience starting a residential lay Marianist community in Dayton, which eventually morphed into the Mission of Mary Cooperative, as well as how he lives the Marianist charism in his daily life as a lay person and in his new role with MLC-NA.
