In late April, our first year of the Marianist Specialist Program came to a close, as Bro. Charles Kimeu, SM, from the Region of Eastern Africa, returned to Nairobi. The Marianist Specialist Program calls upon Marianist religious from around the world to engage in research focused on Marianist history, spirituality, and mission with the support of NACMS staff, local Marianists, and the University of Dayton faculty. |

All three of these holy men were martyred in 1936 during the Spanish Civil War and are known as the “Marianist Martyrs of Ciudad Real.” |
